(BNP) - On the morning of August 15, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism opened the thematic exhibition "Bac Ninh in the August Revolution of 1945" and the exhibition "Achievements of Bac Ninh's cultural sector in the period 1997-2025" at Bac Ninh Museum No. 2 (Ly Thai To street, Kinh Bac ward). This is a practical activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2 (1945-2025).

Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Truong Quang Hai emphasized the great historical significance of the August Revolution in 1945. He affirmed that Bac Ninh is a land rich in patriotic and revolutionary traditions, the birthplace and nurturing of outstanding revolutionary predecessors of the Party and State such as: Ngo Gia Tu, Nguyen Van Cu, Hoang Quoc Viet, Le Quang Dao...

The thematic exhibition space is divided into two areas: Area 1 includes more than 500 documents, artifacts, and images on the topic "Bac Ninh in the August Revolution of 1945" arranged according to 3 themes: "August Revolution of 1945 - Imprint of the times", reflecting the process of the Communist Party of Vietnam leading the people to seize power across the country, along with the impact of this event on Bac Ninh, the region, and the world. "Bac Ninh in the August Revolution of 1945", the struggle, the leadership role of the local Party Committee, and the feats of the army and people of Bac Ninh in the anti-Japanese resistance and general uprising. "Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee promotes the spirit of the August Revolution in building and defending the Fatherland", introducing the economic, political, cultural, social, security and defense achievements of Bac Ninh province during the renovation period.

Area 2 includes 200 images reflecting "Achievements of Bac Ninh Culture Sector in the period 1997 - 2025". Through that, it shows the attention of the Party, State and provincial leaders to the cultural sector; typical cultural events; work to build grassroots cultural life; activities of cultural institutions such as: Library, Museum, Quan Ho Folk Song Theater, Cheo Theater, Cultural Center and Tourism Promotion; especially the efforts of the Culture Sector in preserving and promoting the values of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, especially heritages recognized by UNESCO.
With over 700 photographs, documents, and artifacts chosen for display to educate and inform cadres, Party members, and people from all walks Vietnamese life, particularly the young generation of Bac Ninh province, about the great victory and worth of the August Revolution of 1945; revive and promote our nation's patriotism and revolutionary heroism from the August Revolution of 1945 in order to carry out the contemporary cause of innovation, industrialization, and modernization.
The thematic exhibition attracted a large number of people, students, and veterans.
At the program, delegates performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate the thematic exhibition “Bac Ninh in the August Revolution of 1945” and the exhibition “Achievements of Bac Ninh Cultural Sector in the period 1997-2025”.
