(BNP) - The World Heritage Committee (UNESCO) has just officially recognized Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son - Kiep Bac Complex recognized as World Culture Heritage as a World Cultural Heritage.

Vinh Nghiem Pagoda, Bac Ninh province is located in the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son - Kiep Bac Relics and Landscape Complex recognized as World Culture Heritage.

This is the 9th world heritage of Viet Nam and the second inter-provincial world heritage, after Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago in Quang Ninh province and Hai Phong city.

The Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son - Kiep Bac Relics and Landscape Complex is located in the provinces of Quang Ninh and Bac Ninh, and Hai Phong city. It includes a system of relics belonging to special national relics ranked by the Prime Minister, such as: Yen Tu relic and landscape complex; Tran Dynasty relic site in Dong Trieu; Vinh Nghiem Pagoda; Bo Da Pagoda; Con Son - Kiep Bac relic site; An Phu - Kinh Chu - Nham Duong historical relic and scenic spot...

The complex's distinguishing feature is the intimate relationship between the relics spanning many centuries, resulting in a full system reflecting the formation, development, and dissemination of Truc Lam Buddhism.  From the sacred mountain of Yen Tu to the relics of Vinh Nghiem and Con Son, Kiep Bac, each location bears great historical, cultural, and spiritual significance.

The recognition of the complex as a World Culture Heritage site is the result of persistent efforts, high consensus and close and effective coordination between authorities at all levels, sectors, localities, and domestic and international organisations./.
