(BNP) – On the afternoon of April 21, at the Provincial Convention Center, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province organized a conference to review the reception of the UNESCO Certificate and the festival "Coming to the Land of Bac Ninh Heritage 2026" as well as the management and organization of Spring festivals in the province. Attending the conference was Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Mai Son.

Reporting at the conference, the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism stated that the advisory, direction, and organization of the UNESCO Certificate Reception and the Festival "Coming to the Land of Bac Ninh Heritage 2026" were implemented proactively and methodically with the synchronized involvement of the entire political system; guiding documents, plans, and options were issued promptly, ensuring progress and quality. Information and propaganda was carried out widely and diversely in form, contributing to the strong spread of the meaning and values of the Festival event. Reception, logistics, security, medical, and environmental tasks were thoughtfully prepared, serving more than 850 domestic and international delegates along with a large number of citizens and tourists.
The series of activities within the framework of the Festival took place richly, highlighted by the UNESCO Certificate Reception and a grand, specially-staged art program that harmoniously combined tradition and modernity; display spaces, exhibitions, and heritage performances attracted many visitors, creating a positive ripple effect. The event contributed to honoring heritage values, promoting the cultural image of Bac Ninh, and affirming the province's capacity to organize large-scale events.
Regarding the management and organization of festivals and activities at historical sites during the early Spring of the Year of the Horse (Binh Ngo) 2026, tasks were implemented seriously and in accordance with regulations, with a synchronized system of guiding documents from the province to the grassroots; localities proactively developed plans, established organizing committees, and increased inspections and supervision at key festivals. The festivals basically took place safely, healthily, and economically, ensuring the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values; propaganda was strengthened, contributing to raising people's awareness of practicing a civilized lifestyle during festivals. Activities at historical sites were organized in an orderly manner, focusing on guiding and channeling visitors, ensuring security, order, traffic safety, environmental sanitation, and service control; many sites organized cultural activities, displays, and experiences, contributing to attracting tourists and promoting local economic development.
In addition to the results achieved, some limitations still existed. The management of some contents in the live program was still confused, technical infrastructure did not meet requirements, and the effectiveness of propaganda in some spaces was not commensurate with the scale of organization; there were still instances of superstition, spontaneous service businesses, improper fee collection, and some lack of standard behaviors in festival spaces, etc.
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and proposing key issues in inter-sectoral coordination to ensure security and order, fire prevention, environmental sanitation, and food safety at historical-cultural sites before, during, and after the 2026 Lunar New Year; the work of ensuring security and safety for the UNESCO Certificate Reception and the opening of the Festival "Coming to the Land of Bac Ninh Heritage 2026", etc.

Concluding the conference, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Mai Son affirmed that the organization of the UNESCO Certificate reception and the festival "Coming to the Land of Bac Ninh Heritage 2026" was a comprehensive success, achieving the set goals. This was a large-scale event, elaborately prepared and methodically organized, inheriting experience from previous events as well as learning effective methods from other localities. The event content was thoroughly invested; communication activities were implemented synchronously and effectively; security, order, and social safety were guaranteed, creating a good impression on the people and tourists.
Mr. Mai Son also highly appreciated the results achieved in festival organization recently. Accordingly, festivals in the area had been organized on an increasingly larger scale with rich content; propaganda had seen many innovations, effectively utilizing both traditional channels and social media platforms to promote the image of the homeland. Notably, traffic congestion had been step-by-step overcome, creating favorable conditions for people and tourists to participate in festivals. Through this, traditional cultural values continued to be preserved and promoted, contributing to improving the spiritual life of the people and the organizational capacity of officials at all levels.
Beside the achieved results, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also frankly pointed out some shortcomings and limitations. Regarding the direction and tasks for the coming time, he requested all levels and sectors to continue raising awareness of the role of festivals, identifying them as the crystallization of traditional cultural values as well as a driving force for socio-economic development, contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc. On that basis, it was necessary to focus on perfecting mechanisms and policies related to the organization and management of festivals, including urgently drafting a resolution on supporting funding for festival organization to be submitted to the Provincial People's Council in the near future; while simultaneously building and issuing a unified festival management regulation throughout the province.
Along with that, it wasnecessary to promote digital transformation through digitizing data, documents, and images of festivals to serve management, storage, and communication in a methodical and effective way. At the same time, attention should be paid to building and developing characteristic festivals into typical tourism products, contributing to enhancing economic value and promoting the local image.
