(BNP) - On the morning of April 19, the Provincial Confederation of Labor organized a meeting and dialogue between the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and trade union officials, members, and workers in the province.

The lives and employment of workers is basically stable, the work of caring for and building labor relations achieves many positive results
According to the report at the conference, the situation of workers and civil servants in the province was basically stable, workers were secure in production and strictly complied with the guidelines and policies of the Party and laws of the State. The whole province currently had over 26,000 enterprises with more than 820,000 workers; in which foreign workers accounted for 47.2%, and the FDI sector accounted for 67.76%. Trade unions at all levels were managing 2,043 grassroots trade unions with over 635,000 members.
After the Lunar New Year holiday, most workers returned to work on time, production and business activities remained stable, and no collective labor disputes arose. Trade unions at all levels actively participated in building and supervising the implementation of policies on wages, social insurance, and labor safety and hygiene; labor relations continued to improve in a harmonious and stable direction. However, there were still some enterprises violating such as late payment of insurance and not fully signing labor contracts.
The work of caring for the lives of union members and workers was implemented effectively. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026, 100% of union members were supported; trade unions at all levels gave gifts to more than 400,000 people with a total budget of nearly 130 billion VND. Welfare programs such as "Trade Union Shelter" and "Trade Union Meal" continued to be maintained, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of workers.
However, the report also pointed out difficulties such as: access to social housing was still limited; living conditions in boarding houses were not guaranteed; social insurance debt still occured; the quality of human resources had not met requirements, and vocational skills were still limited.

Listening, accompanying, and improving workers' lives - the motivation for sustainable development
Opening the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai emphasized that the conference was organized to create a direct forum for provincial leaders, departments, sectors and enterprises to listen to the thoughts, aspirations and recommendations of workers; thereby promptly removing difficulties and obstacles, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of workers.
According to the Provincial Party Secretary, in the past time, the province had achieved many positive results in socio-economic development. The whole province currently had 39 industrial parks with more than 800,000 workers working, making an important contribution to economic growth and investment attraction. Although there were still difficulties and challenges, basic development indicators were maintained stably, in which foreign investment attraction continued to be a bright spot.
Emphasizing the role of workers, the Provincial Party Secretary affirmed that the province always identified caring for workers' lives as a central task. Programs to develop social housing and improve working and living conditions for workers were being promoted. However, reality showed that there were still limitations such as commuting conditions, access to housing, and life pressure for workers.
The Provincial Party Secretary requested delegates, especially workers, to frankly state their opinions and recommendations; functional agencies and enterprises should actively listen and respond directly or summarize and promptly handle issues within their authority.
At the same time, he requested the trade union organization to continue to promote its role as a bridge, regularly grasping and truthfully reflecting the voice of workers; and called on enterprises to pay more attention to regimes, policies, and working conditions to improve the quality of life for workers.
Affirming the viewpoint that "if workers are well cared for, enterprises will develop sustainably", the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that the provincial government would make maximum efforts to accompany enterprises and trade union organizations in comprehensively improving the lives of workers.

At the conference, many opinions and recommendations were raised frankly, focusing on practical issues. Workers reflected the overload of traffic infrastructure in industrial parks such as Quang Chau, Yen Phong, Que Vo, which were frequently congested during peak hours, affecting safety and working time; requesting the province to soon have synchronous solutions such as widening roads, traffic flow separation, and arranging reasonable worker pick-up and drop-off points.
Regarding civil infrastructure, workers recommended upgrading inter-village and inter-commune roads; handling flooding; increasing investment in schools, kindergartens, and cultural institutions serving workers' children. Regarding life, many opinions said that accessing social housing was still difficult; the price of rent, electricity, and water was high and lacked transparency; requesting price control and development of standardized housing systems.
Regarding labor, delegates recommended adjusting the minimum wage in line with price fluctuations; researching more flexible retirement ages for direct labor; strengthening the handling of enterprises being slow to pay or owe social insurance. In addition, opinions also mentioned improving the quality of shift meals, ensuring food safety, improving periodic health checks, and strengthening security, order and environmental hygiene in industrial parks.
Numerous specific solutions are offered to resolve the recommendations of workers
At the conference, representative leaders of provincial departments and sectors directly answered many recommendations of trade union officials, members and workers, and at the same time gave specific solutions associated with the implementation roadmap.
Regarding traffic infrastructure, the province identified the cause of congestion in industrial parks, especially the Quang Chau - Van Trung area, due to the rapid increase in vehicle volume and unsynchronized infrastructure. In the coming time, the province would implement synchronous solutions such as reorganizing traffic, strengthening flow separation, investing in widening roads, building connecting routes and overpasses, expected to complete some projects before 2027.
For social housing, the province would continue to promote project development, while prioritizing rental housing and worker accommodation; simplifying procedures and making information public so that workers could easily access it.
Regarding labor, recommendations on retirement age, minimum wage, and periodic health checks would be summarized and reported to competent authorities for consideration. The province also increased inspections and strictly handled late and evaded payment of social insurance. The police force proposed solutions to ensure traffic order and safety in industrial parks such as peak-hour flow separation, installing surveillance cameras, and handling violations; at the same time requesting businesses to coordinate in adjusting working hours appropriately.
Regarding the price of rent, electricity and water, functional agencies would increase inspection, supervision and strictly handle violations, ensuring the rights of workers. Regarding social insurance, the settlement of regimes was basically in accordance with regulations; the insurance sector continued to coordinate to remove difficulties, promote propaganda, and support workers in accessing policies.

Strengthening dialogue, commitment to timely resolution of workers' recommendations
Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son requested departments, sectors and localities to improve their responsibility, actively inspect and supervise, especially surprise inspections in sensitive areas such as food safety, service prices, and living conditions of workers. At the same time, he requested to publicize the hotline to receive feedback from workers and promptly handle it right from the grassroots level.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested to strengthen coordination between the government, enterprises and trade union organizations; promote the role of grassroots trade unions in grasping and promptly reflecting the thoughts and aspirations of workers. The contents of the recommendations would be summarized and included in a specific action program, with clear assignment of responsibility and processing time.

He emphasized that the province would continue to innovate the form of dialogue in a more regular and flexible direction; at the same time, he requested functional agencies to urgently review and issue conclusions, clearly defining the responsibility and processing time for each recommendation.
He requested the trade union organization to continue to promote its role as a bridge, promptly reflecting the voice of workers; the business community should pay more attention to regimes and working conditions. The province was committed to accompanying businesses, improving the investment environment, creating stable jobs, and increasing income for workers.
