Lychee is one of Bac Ninh’s key agricultural products and carries the province’s distinct brand identity. With large-scale cultivation areas and production processes following VietGAP, GlobalGAP, and organic standards, Bac Ninh lychees continue to affirm their quality and meet the stringent requirements of international markets such as China, Japan, the United States, Australia, South Korea, and Canada.
Currently, the province has hundreds of export cultivation area codes and numerous internationally certified packaging facilities. Bac Ninh is managing 243 export cultivation area codes covering more than 17,450 hectares, along with 42 packaging facilities that have been granted export codes. Bac Ninh lychees have been exported to demanding markets such as China, Japan, the United States, Australia, South Korea, and Canada, and are protected under geographical indication status in eight countries.
Alongside lychees, Bac Ninh currently has 722 OCOP products rated three stars or higher and 56 key specialty agricultural products. These products are not only commercial goods but also embody the cultural values, traditions, and creativity of local people.

He suggested that Bac Ninh continue taking quality, standards, and traceability as the foundation for development, while strictly managing cultivation area codes, packaging facilities, pesticide residue levels, and quarantine requirements for each market. The province was also encouraged to gradually standardize packaging, labeling, and geographical indications, and further develop the Bac Ninh lychee brand toward high-quality export markets such as Japan, the United States, the EU, South Korea, Canada, and the Middle East.
