(BNP) – On May 28, a delegation of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Fatherland Front Committee, and Delegation of National Assembly Deputies led by Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Thai offered incense and flowers at Hoang Quoc Viet Park in Vu Ninh ward to commemorate the 121st anniversary of the birth of Comrade Hoang Quoc Viet (May 28, 1905 – 2026).

Attending the incense offering ceremony were Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; leaders of provincial departments, agencies, and organizations; Vu Ninh ward; the family of Comrade Hoang Quoc Viet; and staff and students of Hoang Quoc Viet High School.
In a solemn atmosphere, provincial leaders respectfully offered incense and wreaths and observed a minute of silence in remembrance of and deep gratitude to Hoang Quoc Viet — an exemplary communist and a distinguished veteran leader of the Party and the Vietnamese revolution.

Comrade Hoang Quoc Viet, whose real name was Ha Ba Cang, was born on May 28, 1905, in Vu Ninh Ward, Bac Ninh Province. From a young age, he became involved in revolutionary movements after being inspired by revolutionary ideals. Throughout nearly 70 years of revolutionary service, while holding many important positions entrusted by the Party, State, and People, he consistently demonstrated steadfast political will, dedication, practical insight, and close ties with the people. He made outstanding contributions to the Party’s revolutionary cause, particularly in mass mobilization, trade union activities, and strengthening the great national unity bloc.

Comrade Hoang Quoc Viet’s life was a shining symbol of absolute loyalty to the Party, the Fatherland, and the People. Whether enduring imprisonment under the imperialist regime or serving in key leadership positions within the Party and the State, he consistently upheld the qualities of a steadfast communist revolutionary — living a simple and humble life, remaining close to the people, and devoting himself wholeheartedly to the nation and its citizens. He dedicated his entire life to the cause of national independence, the people’s happiness, and the enduring prosperity of the nation.

Immediately after the incense offering ceremony, Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai and the delegates visited the Memorial House and listened to a presentation about the life and career of Comrade Hoang Quoc Viet at the monument grounds.
