(BNP) - On the afternoon of May 28, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dao Quang Khai chaired a meeting to urge progress and implement investment and construction for several social housing projects in the communes and wards in the South of Cau River area, Bac Ninh province.

According to the report of the Department of Construction, to date, the South of Cau River area has 71 social housing projects (109 projects in the whole province) with a land use scale of approximately 225.81 hectares, totaling 80,510 apartments. Of these, 23 projects have been completed and are in operation; 29 projects are under implementation, having received investment approval before the province's merger and the implementation of the two-tier local government model; 19 new projects have received investment approval from July 1, 2025 to the present.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and clarifying the difficulties and obstacles in the implementation of social housing projects in the area south of the Cau River.

Concluding the conference, Vice Chairman Dao Quang Khai emphasized that social housing development is an important task to ensure social security and improve living conditions for residents. He requested departments, agencies, localities, and investors to strengthen coordination and proactively resolve difficulties in order to accelerate project progress.
For completed projects, the Vice Chairman required a review to ensure the correct beneficiaries, while completing technical infrastructure, social infrastructure, and operational management. For projects under implementation, construction progress must be accelerated while ensuring construction quality, labor safety, and the prompt public announcement of sale and rental prices in accordance with regulations. Projects that have not yet commenced must urgently complete procedures and remove obstacles for early implementation.
The Vice Chairman also assigned the Department of Construction and relevant units to strengthen guidance and support for investment procedures, review delayed projects for handling in accordance with regulations, and ensure that social housing development planning is synchronized with technical and social infrastructure to meet the growing housing demand in the province.
