Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc inspects progress of key national transport projects in Bac Ninh province

(BNP) - On the afternoon of May 20th, a government delegation led by Comrade Pham Gia Tuc, Member of the Politburo and Deputy Prime Minister, held a working session and inspected the implementation of the Gia Binh International Airport project and related projects; the project connecting Gia Binh Airport with Hanoi; and the investment and construction project of Ring Road 4 - Hanoi Capital Region (section passing through Bac Ninh province).

Central leaders were Mr. Tran Duc Thang, Member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee; Mr. Tran Hong Minh, Minister of Construction.

Bac Ninh provincial leaders joining the delegation were Mr. Nguyen Hong Thai, Member of the Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Pham Hoang Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Pham Van Thinh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Ngo Tan Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Reporting at the meeting, the leaders of Bac Ninh province stated that the province is focusing heavily on land clearance, resettlement, and construction of projects to ensure progress in serving the APEC 2027 Conference and promoting local socio-economic development.

Regarding the Gia Binh International Airport project, all agricultural land has been cleared. Specifically, in the area designated for APEC 2027, over 94% of households have agreed to register for resettlement; the province plans to begin relocation on May 31, 2026. Resettlement projects and works serving land clearance are also being accelerated.

Regarding the road connecting Gia Binh Airport with Hanoi, the section from Km9+00 to Km27+766 is completing the necessary conditions for commencement of construction at the end of May 2026. The work of surveying, compensating, and supporting resettlement is being actively implemented, striving to hand over all agricultural land before June 10, 2026.

Regarding the Ring Road 4 Project - Hanoi Capital Region section through Bac Ninh, the province has basically completed land clearance for residential and agricultural land and completed infrastructure in resettlement areas; at the same time, ensuring the supply of materials for construction to complete the project according to plan.

Concluding the working session, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc acknowledged and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility, proactiveness, and decisiveness of localities and units in implementing key projects. He emphasized that these are strategic infrastructure projects of special importance to the socio-economic development of Bac Ninh and the Hanoi Capital Region; The directive requires ministries, departments, localities, investors, and contractors to continue focusing resources, accelerating progress, ensuring quality, technical standards, construction safety, and completing projects on schedule to serve APEC 2027.
