(BNP) - The project “Dong Nguyen Green - 365 Days of Creation” by Ms. Ngo Thi Phuong Thanh, President of the Women's Union of Dong Nguyen Ward, Bac Ninh Province, has been honored to be among the Top 11 outstanding initiatives in the “Women Creating a Green Future” competition launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union.
The project not only addresses the problem of pollution at its source but also protects public health from the wave of microplastics and chemicals.
With a budget of approximately VND 120 million, the project focuses on raising community awareness about environmental protection through activities such as: sorting waste at source, processing organic waste using IMO microorganisms, organizing waste-for-items and green plants exchange programs, and promoting a “Zero Waste” lifestyle.
The project has brought many positive results in Dong Nguyen Ward through models such as “Green House - Turning Waste into Money”, “Using reusable shopping bags”, contributing to building a green lifestyle, sustainable consumption, environmental protection, and urban landscape preservation.
The “Women Creating a Green Future” competition attracted 139 projects and initiatives nationwide. The Organizing Committee selected 11 outstanding initiatives to award prizes, with the "Dong Nguyen Green - 365 Days of Creation" project receiving an Encouragement Award.
