Bac Ninh responds to world innovation day and world intellectual property day 2026

(BNP) - The Bac Ninh Department of Science and Technology has issued Official Letter No. 1536/SKHCN-CNST regarding the response to World Innovation Day (April 21) and World Intellectual Property Day (April 26) in 2026.

Many activities will be held to respond to World Innovation Day (April 21) and World Intellectual Property Day (April 26) in 2026.

Accordingly, these activities aim to promote innovation within the community and society as a whole; to build a culture of innovation throughout society. At the same time, they will promote the effective implementation of mechanisms and policies on science and technology and innovation; and mobilize social resources to solve practical problems, aiming for rapid and sustainable growth of the province.

The activities in response are required to be practical, effective, and economical, linked to strengthening digital transformation, applying digital technology and multi-platform communication to widely disseminate the message throughout society.

The themes for 2026 are defined as “Innovation - Breakthrough Action, Spreading Results”; “Innovation - Transforming Faster, Stronger to Turn Ideas into Value, Aspirations into Reality”; and “Intellectual Property - A Driving Force for Green and Sustainable Growth”. This year, the chosen slogans are “Warmly welcoming World Innovation Day - April 21, 2026”, and “Warmly welcoming World Intellectual Property Day - April 26”.

The propaganda content focuses on disseminating information about the purpose and significance of World Innovation Day and World Intellectual Property Day, aiming to spread and popularize the spirit of innovation, the value of inventions, trademarks, copyrights, and industrial designs among the entire population. It also aims to disseminate and thoroughly explain the Party and State's breakthrough guidelines, policies, and strategies for the development of science, technology, and innovation.

The plan includes organizing and launching practical activities and initiatives; promoting solutions for applying science and technology, innovation, and intellectual property to solve practical problems in various sectors and fields, thereby increasing productivity and efficiency, promoting socio-economic development, and improving the quality of life.

Furthermore, it focuses on promptly identifying, commending, and replicating effective models, initiatives, and inventions; and disseminating best practices and exemplary models in the implementation of innovation and intellectual property within the province. Building a culture of respect for copyright, promoting innovation, developing creative spaces, innovation centers, and platforms for connecting innovation across various fields.

In addition, agencies, units, and localities should organize diverse forms of activities such as: displaying banners, slogans, and public LED screens; creative, multi-platform communication (print, radio, television, social media, digital platforms, etc.) about activities, results, models, inventions, and best practices in technology application, transfer, and innovation; organizing conferences, seminars, forums, and exchanges in person or online; launching emulation movements and competitions to apply new technologies and solutions, promote initiatives, inventions, and improvements in processes, techniques, and new products in the professional activities, production, and business of each agency, organization, enterprise, and community. In addition, outstanding collectives and individuals in science and technology, innovation, and intellectual property activities in each sector and field will be commended, honored, and rewarded.

The activities will be held from April 17th to May 1st, 2026.

The Department of Science and Technology requests that relevant departments, agencies, localities, and units pay attention to implementing these activities, contributing to the strong dissemination of the spirit of innovation and enhancing the effectiveness of socio-economic development in the province.
